Another Kind of Love

Beyond human love, our transmission of Big Love can heal the world.

Big Love is a term I sometimes use to differentiate between human love and that larger kind of Love that embraces all beings. We've not treated other species that well, have we?

Chief Seattle urged the white man to be considerate of the animals. Any of us who have pets know the special bond that develops, cross species. Imagine developing a loving attitude towards ALL species, including the millions that live inside our bodies.

Buckminster Fuller famously said, "I seem to be a verb," as he contemplated the mystery of what it means to be human. Indeed, we are not an entity isolated from other beings. We live in community, constantly and it pays to be nice to our neighbors!

The experience of letting go of our human identity brings an experience of Big Love. This is so superior to anything we can know while limited human to human.

The Noon Club gives us the opportunity to drop into this field every day at noon. Thank you for joining the circle!
